DISPATCH
Randalls Island (NYC)
September 2011Dispatch was invited by the Dave Matthews Band to play the New York City shows on the 'Caravan' tour. The original dates were scheduled on Governor's Island in August, but were postponed due to hurricane Irene, and changed venues in the process.
Our friends at Rat Sound, who have been handling the tour sound for Dispatch, asked to fill in for these dates, as they were now the only shows back on the East coast.
Big Mo Pro had one day to prep in rehearsals with the band and their engineers, Jason Brandt and Kyle Rogan, to be ready for quick-change environs of this sort of festival. The package included Midas Pro9 consoles, and a complete monitor package with EM Acoustics wedges, Sennheiser In-Ear Monitors, and a mic and stage cable package.
A combination of proper preparation and great support from the tour (UltraSound) and location (SES) sound companies allowed fans to thoroughly enjoy this pair of shows.

CONTINENTAL AIRLINES
NY Museum of Natural History
October 2009When a major airline wanted to showcase the announcement of a new star in their sky, they chose the Hayden Planetarium in the NY Museum of Natural History. Our production-partner clients at Bentley Meeker Lighting and Staging asked Big Mo Pro to handle the audio portion of the big day.
The acoustical complexities of the marble and glass atrium, the scheduling logistics of an open/working museum, and adventurous staging that put sources in six different places; a combination that had to be executed perfectly to meet the client''s expectations.

MOUNT SAINT DOMINIC ACADEMY
Theater System Installation
Sept 2009Mount Saint Dominic Academy, in Caldwell, NJ, was already in the final stages of planning for a fast-track renovation of their multi-purpose theater space when Big Mo Pro was consulted to design and install the sound system.
A quick series of meetings sorted out the needs for the space, with the dual focus of covering the core needs of the theatrical shows that are part of the cirriculum, and the requirement of flexibilty and simplicity for masses, meetings, and other presentations throughout the year.
Big Mo Pro worked with the client and other trades to develop a coordinated plan that met the clients needs, kept sightlines open, maintained the architectural beauty at the core of the renovation, and made the most of the available budget and a tight schedule.
EM Acoustics loudspeakers were selected for their smooth frequency response - both on and off-axis, and both CAD drawings and acoustical prediction software were utilized to insure proper coverage for every seat in the house.
A flexible digital console system allows multiple console position options (booth, mid-house, backstage) with minimal set-up. And the choice of system control and processing allows a single mic presentation at the touch of a button.
